Makeup for Wedding

Today I did makeup for Sabby Sab family member.They are all buch of fun sisters to work with!I did makeup for them yesterday too but I've forgot to catch a picture of them. Again, right?The makeup theme was smokey eyes :)They just love smokey eyes. So here it is :)

Natural Eye Makeup

Allkay. I tau ramaaaaiii yang suka eye makeup yang nampak natural mcm tak pakai eyeshadow kan? Macam ni… mula mula…

1.       Prep ur eyelids with foundation/lid primer & smoothen it.

2.       Bila dah rata, dap a base color onto ur lids. Warna nya mustilah paling dekat dengan warna kulit (kalau pakai foundation kena suit kan dgn warna kulit after foundation). Sapu rata.

3.       Then, highlight kan di hujung tulang kening. Gunakan warna ivory shimmer.

4.       Bila dah sapu rata, guna flat brush to put gel eyeliner on top of ur eyelash line. Ini akan menampakkan mata u lebih kecil, sangat sesuai utk ladies yg bermata galak.

5.       Bile eyeliner dah kering, curl kan pulak ur eyelash. Seal the curl with mascara. Tapi letak mascara tu moderate je. Jangan tebal sgt.

Voila! U are done and now looking all flawless with ur foundation but rather natural. Good job ladies!! *hi-5*

Makeup for Malayalee Bride

Just received this from the photographer :) Hair and makeup done by me! How I wish everytime I do makeup for people, I will receive the pictures as fast as this one. Heh.. A wise man once said “U can only wish…” :p

 

So, Me, makeup artist pengantin Melayu.. can now do Indian bridal too :) Alhamdulillah.. it's a blessing.

Solemnize Makeup Idea

Makeup untuk Akad Nikah selalu dikaitkan dgn Natural Makeup for a Natural Glow. Kenapa? Sebab… solemnization adalah ritual yg suci dan ianya adalah istiadat yang berlandaskan hukum agama (akad nikah/lafaz nikah dilangsungkan mengikut syarak manakala ritualnya adalah mengikut adat). Solemnization usually diadakan di rumah, kadang-kala di masjid. Oleh itu, solekan yang tidak terlampau adalah lebih molek berbanding dgn solekkan semasa majlis reception. Ini bersesuaian dgn busana pengantin yang lazimnya berwarna off white atau diikuti dgn motif sulam atau manik yang lembut pada pandangan mata.

Penting untuk kita ingat bahawa majlis akad nikah adalah lebih personal daripada majlis reception. Di majlis akad nikah, family members, relatives dan rombongan pihak lelaki duduk bersimpuh selantai dengan kita pengantin. Rasa emosi kita dikala itu lebih tersentuh dengan penyatuan ikatan ini. Sebab itu, natural makeup adalah lebih sesuai untuk upacara yang penuh emosi ini.. sambil hati mengucap tanda kesyukuran ke atas-Nya.

However, a natural makeup doesn’t make the work any lesser. Cuma selection color nya yang lebih natural. Adalah menjadi tugas makeup artist utk menaikkan seri pengantin & menampakkan wajah pengantin flawless supaya hasilnya di dalam gambar, lebih chantik lagi!

Grand on Indian Bridal

Tomorrow there will be 1 more makeup for photoshoot to be done. I am all excited as it will be another for Indian Bridal. I find it fun to do Indian Bridal. With all the variety of colors like red, gold, green, orange.. which are mainly use in Indian wedding. Such colors make the bride looks very grand with all the jewelries & flower & ornament .. just how the brides would want them to appear. As the theme tomorrow is grand Indian wedding, we are expecting to use more jewelry so I have to play the cards right on selecting which color to use on the model. I will take this challenge and bring the most of me. InsyaAllah J

Sing that Coral to ur Lips

Coral is the new Spring 2010! Bobbi Brown especially is getting coral back into their lines. Chanel too has brilliant coco rouge lines for coral; and they are sold out most of the time! Which is great. But need to play safe on this color or u will end up look like in a retirement home :p

The trick is, to wear coral lipstick during the day in gloss/sheer and during the evening with matte finishing. But never gets it too vibrant or u will turn out rather odd. Tan skin will look great with coral but never push too hard on other areas; natural eyeshadow not to dark coz u are not going for a runway, but smokey eyes are great, moderate blusher & keep the coral tone low. Some may like a vibrant color but not for coral or else on ur wedding day, it will be about ur lipstick rather than the wedding itself!

Well I personally love coral color. U may check the range @ MAC & Bobbi Brown & Chanel. U can also mix ur lipstick. Orange+Red. Balance amount of each color and u will get the right soft coral that we are discussing above here :)
